What is the housing support system in Saudi Arabia?
It is a system that aims to enable citizens to obtain their first home with ease and convenience by providing easy and flexible financing solutions and multiple housing options (small apartment or villa) according to the family’s needs, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by increasing Saudis’ home ownership by 70%.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has set the date for housing support on the 24th of each Gregorian month for all beneficiaries for a maximum period of 5 working days. What are the most important amendments to the housing support system 2025?
Age requirement: Reducing the eligibility age for housing support students from 25 to 20 years.
Dependency requirement: Previously, a divorced wife or woman was required to be the sole breadwinner for the family in order to obtain housing support, as this requirement was abolished in the new amendments in order to achieve equal opportunities for all citizens.
Divorce Duration Condition: Divorced women were entitled to housing support two years after their divorce, but a Cabinet decision was issued in the new amendment to review the divorce duration condition and refer the determination of the condition to the executive regulations of the system.
Duration of disposal of housing support options: The duration of disposal of housing support options has been reduced from 10 years to 5 years.
Recovering support when conditions are violated: In the new amendment, the system stressed violators of housing support conditions, especially those who provided misleading or incorrect information in order to obtain housing support, as the system gave the authority to the competent authorities to recover the amount of housing support, land, or housing unit.
